We are a lively, friendly and helpful club with members from the High Peak area and parts of Cheshire.  We welcome all those enjoy photography, whatever their skill level, and provide a varied and stimulating programme of lectures, workshops and challenging competitions to help members realise their ambitions and help them develop further.

Formed nearly 26 years ago the club has grown from small beginnings to a vibrant thriving club of 80+ members.  We meet every Wednesday night at 8pm from September through to May.  Over the years the venue has changed and our current venue of Hayfield Conservative Club is probably the best.  Additional specialised training sessions are available on other evenings and on some Sundays to help members acquire Photoshop skills and to encourage them to look further ahead towards exhibitions and awards.  The lecture programme includes opportunities for members to produce slide shows and AVs to show other members what areas of photography or travel has interested them.  The club also arranges short photographic expeditions to suitable localities around Britain and to the western side of Europe. Feedback has shown that we are successful at welcoming new members. This season our Chairman is Keith Gordon and Vice-Chair is John Hollinrake.

Tony Pioli FRPS FBPE

Congratulations to Tony Pioli on being awarded the highest honours in club photography. Tony has recently been awarded not just one but two prestidgious awards. Tony gained his FRPS- the highest of the three distinctions awarded by the Royal Photographic Society. He chose to submit 20 images on his favourite subject Nature Photography and he gained the award after his second attempt, proving it was not an easy award to gain as many photographers fail this final and highest of distinctions.

Not only that, but tony was also awarded the FBPE (Fellow of the British Photographic Exhibitions) a lifetime of work is needed to achieve this award. Firstly you have to have gained a BPE5* which is 300 acceptances, then a further 100 acceptances with 30 awards (which include Medals and 1st,2nd,3rd places in competition) and from 15 different pieces of work.

Tony can be very proud of these two accolades and they are the first from a member of Chapel Camera Club. I would like to thank Tony for his dedication in producing such a fine body of work and for his help and encouragement in making members of our club good natural history photographers
